Mitamins Team asked:

Samantha had liposuction on her thighs early one Friday evening. The procedure went smoothly, taking less than an hour, and Samantha was quite pleased. The very next day, Saturday, Samantha was out of the clinic and at home enjoying a cup of tea. On Sunday, Samantha collapsed after getting out of bed. By the time she reached the hospital, her heart had stopped. If Samantha had tried natural ways to get slimmer, rather than relying on liposuction, she would still be alive today.

Samantha was like many women in that she had decided she wanted to change the way her body looked. After collapsing, she was treated for a blood clot in the hospital. She was given two blood transfusions and resuscitated several times, but nevertheless, died less than 48 hours after surgery. Samantha was 50 years old. Her surviving husband would encourage anyone wanting to slim down to use more natural and sustainable methods, such as exercise, better eating habits, and supplementation with supplements and vitamins. He thinks surgery is unnecessary.

There are numerous  natural supplements on the market that have been proven to help on lose weight. These work by either suppressing the appetite or by speeding up the metabolism. Following are a few examples:

Bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) is known to stimulate metabolic rate with several substances that it contains. Stimulation of metabolic rate increases burning of calories. This ingredient is said to be effective in combination with St. John’s Wort and caffeine. The peel of the fruit is used to alleviate stomach aches and to reduce high blood pressure. In Europe, Basque people use the leaves for stomachaches, insomnia, and palpitations and the bitter orange peel as an anti-spasmodic. The peek of unripe oranges has traditionally been used in Chinese medicine for indigestion, abdominal pain, constipation, and dysenteric diarrhea. In other parts of the world, bitter orange is still used to treat insomnia and indigestion. This ingredient can aid weight loss from the inside out.

Green tea contains many ingredients which can be helpful for those trying to lose weight. Some of these are: volatile oils,

How to Use Weight Loss Supplements to Lose Weight Fast

kyle sagaas asked:

At this time and age, losing weight is made easy by the latest technology and innovations on aesthetic surgery and medical science as a whole. Science has devised a way for men to lose excess fat fast without much burden and effort on their part.

No wonder many diet pills and supplements have mushroomed around drug stores, beauty bazaars and even among popular online stores. Among the more popular and effective weight loss supplements are those that increase the body’s metabolic rate. By increasing one’s metabolism, the rate at which calories are burned off would be markedly increased. And once you start to burn more calories than you eat, that is a sure-fire way of guaranteeing that you would lose weight. Imagine losing weight simply by doing nothing at all. This is not impossible nowadays. This method of losing weight is perhaps the couch potato’s greatest ally in the fight against the tummy clump.

Since the dawn of history, ephedra was considered to be the most popular substance used in weight loss supplements to help increase metabolism. It was actively used by or Chinese friends for centuries now. Ephedra was however banned in the United States by the food and drug division because it was deemed unsafe for the public to use. Ephedra, which contains the active compound ephedrine, was proven to be responsible for a wide range of side effects that users were experiencing – from headaches, restlessness and nausea to high blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes. In the wake of ephedra, no other substance has been found that could increase the body’s metabolism as much. Caffeine is used in many ephedra-free weight loss supplements for the same reason, but it is not quite as effective. Basically though, I guess we can all agree that losing any weight at all while doing nothing is a good thing.

The biggest problem with the use of ephedra was however that its use in weight loss supplements went unchecked for a long period of time, especially since weight loss supplements are not subject to the most stringent food and drug approval tests which meant that at many times it was possible to end up with supplements having inconsistent ephedra levels – some with low levels and others with too much.

Protein-rich shakes and drinks on the contrary, are considered as some of the other safest and healthiest alternative to weight loss supplements. These may or may not also contain a combination of appetite suppressants or metabolism enhancers among others to maximize the weight loss process. The protein shake is generally intended to be used as a full meal in itself in an attempt to help you maintain how much food you eat while getting the necessary amount of calories a day. Increasing the protein in the diet also has another advantage – it helps to increase the amount of muscle mass in your own body. The more muscle that you build, the more calories that you would burn (muscle burns more calories than fat does).

Nevertheless, nothing undoubtedly can replace ephedra as an active agent for efficient and quicker weight loss. If you are aiming to lose weight now, then go ahead and have those ephedra based diet pills and supplements and be amazed at the results!
